My Abundant Journey's Blog is where I will share my journey's, tips and strategies, my grace and encouragement, resources, affliliate products, things you should try and everything in between! I am so excited to be embarking on this journey with all of you!
I would like to blog at least twice a month, but may be more if I have something that I feel eveyone needs to know.
My journey's that I share are truely from my heart.
My tips and strategies come from experience, of being a mother for 15 years almost 16.
My grace and encouragement are from true belief in all mothers!
My resources come from a place of value to you and I! I will not share if it is not something I have not extensively researched or have used personally.
My affiliate products and things you should try are something I have used, am using, or believe in.
Everything in between are things that I share that are important and I feel that others need to know!

What is freedom in motherhood? What does it mean to you? How do you obtain it?
Freedom by definition is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The quality or state of being free.
Find your freedom in motherhood. Freedom is a choice in motherhood which is one no one can make but you. A choice to be who you are. Freedom to show up as you are, and how you are in that present moment. You are enough. As mother's we get caught in being who we think we should, could, or will be. I am here to encourage you to claim your freedom and enjoy who you are.
Explore you state of being free. Become a freedom claiming mom! Here are some ideas of how to claim your freedom as a mom:
- Just try! Sound easy right. Well from exprerience this is where the comparing, the not good enough, if I would of feeling step in and say ... Idea to try, believe if I just show up as I am and do the best I can!
- Show up with compassion and acceptance. If you set the intention of the day with feeling good and being happy. I will take this day as it is and will enjoy and make the most of it. (Making lemonade out of lemons kind of day.)
- Shine your light. Show up and do what you can and how you can do it. Be yourself, take off the hats and be just you exactly the way you are.

I am taking this wonderful day to celebrate the most precious accomplishment of my life with you and that is motherhood!
I became a mother for the fourth time, just two days after mother's day. It has now been five years, and he is finishing pre-school and going to kindergarten this year! He has become a very ambious and curious little one. Every mother's day is a precious reminder of his birth.
I would like to celebrate the kind and caring soul of my youngest daughter, she is going to fifth grade this year and is very spunky. She never forgets a single day to remind me that she loves me. Her hugs and kisses are always with much compassion!
The middle one, she is the busy one! She is a budding gymnastic star! She works very hard and takes much pride in what she does! And she will begin her journey to middle school this year. She also is always making sure everyone is ok.
My oldest and the leader of the pack! She is experimenting with driving and finding her authentic self. She gives me much inspiration and is always ready to test the limits. She also will begin her second year of high school. Oh how the time flies!
I have many accomplishments to celebrate this mothers day, and I am thankful to celebrate with you!

We all find time to make list. Grocery list, chore charts for the kids, to-do list and many more things even in our heads we always add something. We take the time to have downloadable lists, or write them on paper. You get the point! It is endless the expectation and time we spend adding thing after thing. What if we take a few moments, take a deep breathe, and add to our list. What would make me happy today? or this week? What can I do for myself today? Add to your list and schedule the time, read a chapter in a book, take a bubble bath to relax, look at a magazine, or just sit on the couch! I will color with my kids or dance like no one is watching with the kids! Or when they are napping or after they go to bed. You choose we are all unique in our own ways! Find something that you like to do, or that makes you happy. Create the list that includes you. As moms, we definitely get lost in our lists of things to do's. Cleaning, cooking, and the never ending pile of laundry! My idea for you this week is to start with just 5-10 minutes! Add it to your list!
Make your escape
"Your are not your to-do list. You are not you have-tos or must-dos. You are not your job. Although your first waking thoughts likely focus on the needs of others and all the things you want to accomplish, you are, most important, yourself. Take time every day to remember that-even if it means running away from everyone and everything you love so you come back refreshed and recharged. The world can wait. You shouldn't have to."

Mindfully implementing the here and the now! When? And How?

Like most of you it's busy and full of life in our home! School, work, laundry, gymnastics, games, you name it. For me this has been a question of when and how? How do we do this if it is not conveyed in a way of our own understanding? We have to have it brought to our own level or brought into our way of life. It has to be communicated in a message understood by you. Examples:
1. To be in the moment understand you have to stop multitasking (overwhelming our brains with technology, insecurities, toxic thought patterns, etc.)
2. Redefine the journey or situation. Recognize the actuality of it, accept it (does not mean to resign to it! Grow out of it!) and write the ending.
3. Believe that you are worthy of acceptance, love, and belonging, and being the author of your journey.
4. Start each day with gratitude. What you have accomplished and what you are happy about.
For me how can I do this? I don't have 20 minutes to sit and just be? Most people believe mindfulness/meditation is just something I am not going to do. I don't have time for one more thing! Let life be you mindfulness/meditation teacher, or let your children teach you? Your kids can always feel when your present (and fully in the moment) more than anyone! My children for me have always brought the sweet and the not so sweet (screaming in the checkout lane "I want candy!") reminders of this. Awareness of this was a huge milestone for me. Enjoy the precious gifts they teach you. Use there constant reminders as there unconditional love for you. The answers are within, you just first become aware and implement them in your own unique way! Find your mindfulness/meditation today?
